Where did People Impact programs originate from?

All People Impact® programs are developed and designed by a team of professor from Western and Eastern influences, including Dr. Eric Klopfer (MIT), Dr. David Spicer (Harvard), Dr. Tony Dickinson (Washington University), Dr. Barry Fishman (Michigan University) and Dr. Diane Hui (University of Hong Kong). People Impact® upholds the mission of taking the qualities of both Western and Eastern education and creating scientifically grounded curriculum to provide children with a happy life and a bright future.

What are the qualifications of your trainers?

All People Impact trainers are on a full-time basis, with academic achievements of Degree or above, majoring in Psychology, Education, Linguistics and others related. Aside from basic requirements in education field, all trainers are certified with People Impact’s LTP qualification, with approval from academic advisors prior to officially delivering training to students.

Where can I find more of your information?

Parents are more than welcome to visit our individual centres or browse through our official websites. Surely, you may directly contact our trainers and consultants. Should you be interested in a tour of our centre, please make prior arrangements with us for a more effective meeting to understanding you and your child’s needs and thereafter provide advice accordingly.

What is 4+1 Methodology?

4+1 Methodology comprises of ‘4’ Core Development Areas (CDAs), including Academic Intelligence, Metacognitive Intelligence, Sensory & Motor Intelligence and Social & Personal Intelligence, then combining ‘1’ more extra assessment tools to further measure children’s development so as to further train them accordingly. Therefore, all People Impact® programs and trainers make use of this teaching method for further student-centred training purposes.

How big are the classes?

Our methodology uses small-class teaching therefore each class will have no more than 10 students.

What is the rundown of the 1hr 45 min lesson?

Within the 1 hr 45 min class, trainer and students will complete 3 games. After each game, trainer will conduct a debriefing, focusing on the skills learnt within the game. There will be a 5-10 minutes break in one lesson.

Do parents need to accompany children?

To encourage students into solving problems independently, our classes do not require accompaniment from parents (aside from Baby course). Also, as number of people within the classroom will affect training, students’ attentiveness to class will be affected with parents’ presence. All trainers have gone through professional training and screening, therefore are all equipped with skills to manage each class and each student. Trainers will individually address each parent regarding students’ performance after each class, so that parents are constantly up to date with children’s progress.
